Jeremy Tottenham

Arriving in Melbourne from rural Victoria in 2002, Jeremy undertook undergraduate performance studies at the Victorian College of the Arts, graduating in 2005. During his studies, Jeremy was a first prize-winner at numerous guitar competitions and was also a recipient of the John Vickery Scholarship for academic achievement.

In 2005, Jeremy was invited to perform with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in their performance of Verdi's Otello at Hamer Hall. Jeremy has also completed his Associate (AmusA) and Licentiate (LmusA) diplomas with the Australian Music Examinations Board.

In 2008 Jeremy completed his honours degree at the Victorian College of the Arts with first class honours, receiving a distinction for his dissertation on the interrelationship between performance, composition and design in the evolution of the classical guitar. He is currently working as guitar tutor at Methodist Ladies College and Genazzano FCJ College, two of Melbourne's preeminent secondary institutions. Jeremy is a founding member of the Melbourne Guitar Quartet and his creative arrangements for the group have been featured on ABC Classic FM and performed at the Darwin International Guitar Festival.
