Ben Dix
An honours graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, Ben Dix is an accomplished musician in both classical and improvisational streams. Having involved himself in numerous ensembles with artists such as Tony Gould, Luke Howard, and Leonard Grigoryan, Ben has performed numerously in studio, concert, and live broadcast with ABC radio.
Having received substantial praise through his performances in competition, Ben was nominated for the Margaret Sutherland Bursary Award in 2003 and later received the Kingston Arts Fellowship Grant in 2004. This award initiated his focus and direction to collaborate with many Melbourne based composers in performing and recording new solo and chamber compositions.
Ben is currently on staff at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School and Classical Guitar Society of Victoria, where he conducts the societies Guitar Orchestra
